Welcome to the live schedule realignment dashboard! Originally written for TRACK and FIELD MEETS that feature dozens of events that naturally drift off-schedule as the day progresses. This dashboard constantly recalculates the timing data in real time to show you exactly when events will actually occur. IN THE CASE OF CROSS COUNTRY where meets usually run on time, parents still want to know when to arrive and runners still want to know when to warm up. This tool helps coaches answer those questions.
Dashboard Column Guide
- Scheduled: The original, printed time slot from the official meet program.
- Event ID: The Event No, Division, Event Name of the specific race scheduled in the time slot.
- Arrive-Time: Crucial for Athletes & Parents! This is the time you should arrive at the venue allowing time to find your team. It is dynamically calculated to be exactly 90 minutes prior to the newly predicted start time.
- WarmUP-Time: Crucial for Coaches & Athletes! This shows the time when a runner would normally begin to warm up before the race. It is dynamically calculated to sit exactly 45 minutes prior to the newly predicted start time.
- Predicted: The live estimation of when the starter gun will actually fire for that race, constantly adjusted based on all prior variances combined.
- Status: Quickly flags whether that specific event is currently running Ahead, Behind, or On Time compared to the original schedule.
- Variance: The exact number of minutes the event has drifted from its original printed slot.
Schedule Color Alerts
To help you navigate the meet schedule at a single glance, our data columns automatically change color based on the Variance. To avoid looking too busy, we use rounding on the Variance, so sometimes the calculation looks like they are off by 1 minute:
🟢 Green: The meet is running exactly ON TIME.
💗 Pink: The meet is running AHEAD of schedule. Check your Arrive-Time immediately!
🔵 Light Blue: The meet is running BEHIND schedule.
Delay Severity Levels (Variance)
🟡 Yellow (0 to 5 mins): Minor drift.
🔴 Medium Red (6 to 10 mins): Moderate drift. The schedule is actively drifting. Ahead is worse than Behind.
🚨 Dark Red (11+ mins to 2 hours): Major drift. If the schedule is running AHEAD this is dangerous; adjust your arrival and warm up times so as to not miss your race. If the schedule is running BEHIND most Starters and Meet Directors will try to catch up to the Original Schedule so it is dangerous to plan on a later arrival than the original schedule called for--better to be early than to miss your race.
