Race Time Predictor℠ is a SaaS Service, Software as a Service. Hence, it is not a product in the traditional sense that you take home, nor is it an app you download from the App Store, it is simply a link to a web page where time critical information is displayed.
Real-Time Updates: The time critical information in this case is dynamic real-time schedule updates for cross country and track meets that participants can access from a mobile device or computer so they know if the event is running Ahead, Behind, or On Time.
You are not taking ownership of anything, but instead are renting access to the data updates (viewing) or the option to build them for your team dual meets (producing). It is much like going to a movie—you buy a ticket to get in, only these tickets last for the whole season.
The schedule updates will be displayed on a web page that we call a GATE (Gateway, Portal, Port of Entry) and each school is assigned its own GATE so that it can produce its own SaaS service locally without having to adhere to someone else's competition schedule, though Race Time Predictor℠ will produce major meets as part of its service.
